Staging Before & After: Three Story Evanston Home with Amazing Outdoor Entertaining Spaces
Staging a house is a lot like solving a unique puzzle. The name of this Evanston home’s staging game was “reimagine.”
As you scroll through the before and after photos, be on the lookout to see what was moved, removed, and added.
What made the most significant difference in getting this home picture-perfect?
Exterior
“You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.” Fresh paint on the stairs, colorful flowers, and a cheery wreath were exactly what this home needed to welcome potential buyers!
Also, spring really showed up for my seller. I promise you, these before and after photos were taken less than two weeks apart!
Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor living is gaining importance and popularity with buyers. It was critical to stage this home’s not one but two private retreats.
Living Room
Can you spot the subtle differences made in the living room? Decluttering was key to creating a welcoming space.
Dining Room
When staging a dining room, consider how many people will dine in the space. Previously, the room could only accommodate four people. However, it’s a four-bedroom house. So, most likely, more than four people will regularly dine in the space.
The bench was originally in the seller’s primary suite. Luckily, it tucked perfectly under the dining table and added two seats.
Guest Bedroom
Effectively staging a home involves identifying the best features and playing them up. This bedroom’s positives were the size and natural light. We highlight the pros by moving the bed and removing the dark curtains.
